CANTON, Ohio – July 8, 2022 – Hall of Fame Village (“HOFV”) today announced that Donnie Iris and the Cruisers will open for legendary rock band Journey as part of the 2022 Concert for Legends Presented by Ford.

The concert will take place Aug. 6, 2022, 8 p.m., ET, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on the campus of the Hall of Fame Village during this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week. Tickets are on sale now at HOFVillage.com starting at $59.

Donnie Iris and The Cruisers have released 11 albums, though Iris is best-known for his early ‘80s songs “Ah! Leah” and “Love is Like a Rock.” His hits include 1970s chartbuster “The Rapper,” which he wrote and sang as a member of The Jaggerz. Iris was also a member of Wild Cherry, who had a Billboard #1 hit with “Play that Funky Music.”

HOFV previously announced that Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Journey will headline The Concert for Legends presented by Ford, which will wrap up the 2022 Pro Football Enshrinement Week celebrations.
