Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl XLVIII will be played inside Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

CANTON, Ohio – December 6, 2021 – Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls (“HOF Village”), a multi-use sports, entertainment and media destination centered around the Pro Football Hall of Fame's campus in Canton, Ohio, today announced that it will host the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl XLVIII – the NCAA Division III Football Championship – on Friday, December 17, 2021 inside Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The Game, which is being sponsored by VisitCanton, Stark County Convention & Visitors’ Bureau, will take place at 7:04 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased now at HOFvillage.com.

Tickets for the Stagg Bowl XLVIII start at $20 adults/$10 children for general admission and $35 for club-level seating, which includes access to the Stadium’s temperature-controlled club lounge and concession area. Admission for any college students (must have valid ID) and children under the age of two is free. The DoubleTree By Hilton hotel in Downtown Canton is accepting bookings for the event, and offers the most convenient way for guests to experience the Stagg Bowl and its surrounding activities. Additionally, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is extending a $4 discount to museum admission during Stagg Bowl weekend from December 17-19.

The first NCAA Division III Football Championship Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl took place in 1973 in Phenix City, Alabama. Its namesake, Amos Alonzo Stagg, was a prominent American college athlete who played and coached multiple sports throughout his career. Stagg is known for leading two University of Chicago football teams to undefeated seasons and national championships.

The Stagg Bowl will air on ESPN beginning at 7:00 p.m. EST on Friday, December 17, 2021. The game will return to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in 2025.
