CANTON Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village has hired several new people to handle marketing and partnerships.

The new hires are:

• Ryan Robbins, vice president of alliance partnerships. Robbins previously worked in partnerships for the Cleveland Indians.

• Nick McNeil, senior director of alliance partnerships. McNeil previously worked in sales for the Cleveland Browns.

• Emily Blair, director of marketing partnerships. Blair previously worked in partnerships for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

There’s also been one promotion. John Regas, who was hired by the Village in 2017, is now vice president of marketing and partnerships.

“John has been integral to the growth of Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village,” Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company Chief Commercial Officer Ed Kiernan said in a news release. “He is an experienced sports executive who, in his new role, will lead a team to spur accelerated progress as we build a world-class travel destination.”

Thursday’s announcement is the latest in a string of new hires for the Village. Within the last month, the Village also has announced a new chief financial officer and a new chief commercial officer.

The company that owns the Village is preparing for a merger with Gordon Pointe Acquisition Corp., which will create the new, publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment Co.

The merger is expected to be final by mid-December.
